It is our intention to transform attitudes and serve our community through advocating, listening, sharing, coaching, and teaching. We do this with integrity, honesty, and passion.

Our vision is the creation of a compassionate and inclusive society.

Our experience is hands-on and real-life. We will not talk theory with you; we talk from the heart and from life. Participants learn from, and interact with, a person with a (dis)ability.

Ian Smith has Cerebral Palsy. He grabs the participants' attention by sharing his unique experiences.

Ian & Lea smac experience

Lea Nicholas, along with Ian, facilitates the SMAC Experience. She uses humor and personal insight to draw out learning.

Led by this exceptional partnership, attitudinal shifts occur effortlessly in the audience. Participants start seeing people with abilities, rather than challenges.

"Being SMAC "ed" was definitely an experience that will not be soon forgotten. Ian and Lea's presentation compels a person to think outside the box, to look around with eyes wide open instead of half shut. The information is provided in a light atmosphere and there are thought provoking exercises, designed to make a person think about walking in another's shoes. Ian brings us his own personal experience that shows us the barriers that face him, it's much more realistic to have him say "this has happened to me." The SMAC Experience makes us think, makes us comprehend and makes us appreciate all of our abilities, rather than focusing on the "dis." We really enjoyed it!"
